This session consists of aufguss with essential oils, music and swimming in the ocean.
What is Aufguss?
Aufguss is German and means ‘to pour on’. During the ritual, different essential oils mixed with water are used on the stove. A towel is then used in various ways to fan air and steam around the sauna and also rounds with birch rice as this is a russian variant. One round is about 15 minutes, and there will be about 4 rounds with different oils providing a wonderful experience for the senses, and in between each round we will be cooling down in the ocean or shower.
The ritual starts very calmly to build up the heat in the body, and the heat will be increased gradually, giving a delicious and refreshing feeling to the body and mind. music is played during the ritual to set the mood. You need: Drinking bottle, swimwear & towel to sit on.
A little about our Aufguss master:
If you’ve visited Pust more than once, you may have either experienced Paul’s wonderful Aufguss or heard about it. Paul originally comes from Russia, and has lived in over 20 years in Germany where his love and experience for sauna and Aufguss rituals comes from. He is incredibly skilled in this, and we can safely say that the sauna is his element.
You may also have met him at Glasshuset Bilpleie where he is the general manager. With positivity and radiant light he meets everyone on his way, and according to himself he only chooses to do what he loves. The most important thing for him is to create the best experiences and results for his customers as well as everyone who is lucky enough to experience his Aufguss sessions at PUST.
